It was more of a thrill than I'd expected. The book is finished! -minus some final editing. Soon the review copies will be sent out. It's still on track for a first week of November release, so keep your greedy eyes peeled.
Star's journey into Remy's dark MC world was so much fun to write. I say
write but really I was just listening to what she needed to say.
I
screamed as loud and long as I could on that cold, black highway. My
voice nearly drowned out by the storm. I expected people to come
running out to ask me if I was hurt. No one came. I was forced to
remind myself that this wasn't the normal world. No one gives a damn
here for a lost girl. I'm not a person anymore. I put my head down
and found more tears.
Remy... I get anxious thinking about everything he's prepared to do for what he wants. Death, sex and ruthlessness. He's a fucking monster.
“Get
off.” As I spoke I watched her eyes widen and
her cheeks redden. It sparked my curiosity. Was that embarrassment
splayed across her features?
“The
bike,” I continued, looking for signs to
confirm my suspicions.
She
slid off the seat and pulled at the edges of her skirt as if she
could somehow make it longer. I rubbed two fingers across her
seat, it was moist. Looking to see if she would flinch, I brought
them to my nose and breathed it in. Breathed her in. I cracked a
sliver of a smile and groaned not breaking eye contact. She swallowed
hard then finally looked away.
